Duke has an impressive background with over 41 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, including three years serving as a Residential Broker. Duke has achieved the prestigious Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS® (SIOR) designation, a professional symbol of the highest level of knowledge, production, and ethics in the real estate industry. Commercial real estate professionals who hold the SIOR designation are recognized by corporate executives, commercial brokers, agents, lenders, and other real estate professionals as the most experienced and capable brokerage practitioners in the market. Duke is the only commercial agent to hold the SIOR designation in Stanislaus County and is one of only 3,500 professionals holding this title throughout 26 countries in the world.
Duke is also a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). A CCIM is a recognized expert in the commercial and investment real estate industry. The CCIM lapel pin is earned after successfully completing a designation process that ensures CCIMs are proficient not only in theory, but also in practice. This elite corps of CCIMs includes brokers, leasing professionals, investment counselors, asset managers, appraisers, corporate real estate executives, property managers, developers, institutional investors, commercial lenders, attorneys, bankers, and other allied professionals.
In addition to his commercial real estate activities, Duke is also the President of River Oaks Insurance Services and is both a Life and Health Agent and Casualty and Property Insurance Broker in the State of California.
Locally, Duke has served as the Director and Vice President of Membership for the Modesto Chamber of Commerce. He's also been a member of the Modesto Rotary North, serving as President in 1987. Duke has served as Secretary of the Board of Trustees for Memorial Hospital Foundation and is currently the Vice Chairman. He also served on the City of Modesto Comprehensive Fee Task Force Committee in 2010.
Duke graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and played Varsity Football for the Cal Bears and provided leadership as the team Captain in 1978. During his tenure with the Cal Bears, Duke was named to the "All American, All Pac 10" team. He also played Rugby for the Bears for four years and was on several championship teams. He has always had a passion for sports and was honored by his induction into the Lodi Sports Hall of Fame in 1990.
